Sandra Sokowski is an English professor who has been writing poetry since before she knew what a PhD was. Her work, which has been featured in local anthologies, looks at the everyday in a surreal way. She uses her background in literary history to see the contemporary world in a new light. She also publishes scholarly essays on 18th and 19th century literature and is working on her short fiction. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she now lives on a pond in Delaware with dogs, cats, and one human.
